Alright, I’ll stop copy and pasting now, as you’re probably getting quite bored and I’m running out of reviews to quote.
So the pressure’s on to talk about myself - I dabbled with writing all of this in third person but came to the conclusion that I’d never pull it off convincingly - I can’t think of much to say that’s relevant.
An introduction maybe? I’m Jasmine, I’m 19 and I’m from Batley. I write songs and then I sing them to strangers 6 at a time. Sometimes I tell jokes between the songs with varying degrees of success. I like numbers a lot but last winter I decided I like songs more so I left college (and my childhood dream of being an accountant) to sing them - to strangers 6 at a time. In 2009 I self-released an album, I Don’t Have An Uncle Pat, and my mum thinks it’s okay. I hope to begin work on a second album this autumn and with any luck my mum will deem it ‘good’. A lot of people say I sound like Tracy Chapman, some just shout Tracy Chapman in my face repeatedly but I get the jist.
I think that’s about all for the basics, I’ll have to let the songs do some work, check ‘Blog’ as and when you desire for all the latest news. I hope you like the men playing cards in the street.
